I undertake regular CPD and training. Most recently I completed the ELI Diploma in Leadership Coaching, completing certificates in depth and systems approaches, and achieving certification as an ELI registered coach in July 2025.

Experience
I have now practised as coach and organisational consultant for over three years. Before moving into coaching and consultancy, I spent eight years as Director (Chief Executive) of the national charity, the Public Law Project. Prior to entering charity leadership I worked as a solicitor in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. In that time I contributed to a number of impactful socio-legal projects as well as acting in litigation of constitutional significance.
I have significant committee and board level experience including as a member of the Law Society Access to Justice Committee and the Civil Justice Council. Throughout my 25-year career, I amassed considerable experience in delivering advice and training to a wide range of audiences.
I have worked as a coach with individuals employed by charities and organisations including Child Poverty Action Group, the Helen Bamber Foundation, Humanity & Inclusion UK, Just Rights Scotland, Legal Action Group, Liberty, London Citizens Advice, Privacy International and Shelter, in addition to a wide range of Law Centres and advice agencies.
Why me?
My professional qualifications and strong grounding in theory combined with real-life and relevant professional experience enable me to provide a unique level of support to individuals, teams and organisations. I have valuable insight into the realities of running a complex organisation and of trying to make change in a context that is often frenetic and unpredictable.
I work on a person-centred basis, with the aim of making a meaningful positive difference both to my individual clients and to the wider systems of which they are a part: their teams, organisations, families and communities.
Clients tell me that they find our coaching sessions constructive, thought-provoking and (at least sometimes!) fun. When asked to evaluate how useful and/or valuable they have found our sessions together, my written feedback scores from clients average around 9.5 out of 10.
In terms of my own job satisfaction, what I most enjoy is offering a critical space for people to think out loud, away from the immediate demands and distractions of their job. It is a genuine privilege to spend my time partnering with people reflecting on what they might need to do to make themselves, and the world we inhabit, better. It keeps me hopeful, inspired and motivated.
Outside of work I enjoy reading, writing and walking. I find inspiration in books, rivers, and the natural world, including in the ebb and flow of seasons and cycles. I have two school-age children (currently aged 13 and 10), and an annoying dog. I continue to attempt to learn French and to write a book. I am finding neither easy: these efforts continue to teach me valuable lessons about failure and perseverance!
