Training

I am a qualified coach and an organisational consultant, with particular expertise in ethical leadership for social purposes. I have a professional background as a charity leader and before that as a public interest litigator.

Services

Leadership and Executive Coaching

I provide warm, relational and thoughtful 1-1 coaching services to individuals in a range of roles from board members and chief executives to middle managers and emerging leaders.

I work with clients to increase their strategic impact, enhance their enjoyment and satisfaction of life and work, and to respond more effectively to stressors, problems and difficulties. My coaching supports clients to trigger insights, unearth underlying assumptions and make new connections.

I am flexible and responsive, seeking to provide both a safe, non-judgmental space and constructive, generative challenge. Where clients welcome it, I am happy to share ideas, tools and resources throughout and beyond our contractual coaching relationship. Further information on my approach is set out in Pricing and Practicalities.

Consultancy

I am able to support CEOs and organisations with issues such as wellbeing, team dynamics, culture, and impactful strategies for systemic change. I am particularly focussed on the leadership approaches and actions necessary to build and maintain humane, sustainable, accountable organisations in which people thrive. The organisations most focussed on doing good are not necessarily good places to work. It does not need to be this way, and I am motivated to help change that.

Current and recent clients include: LEF, London Citizens Advice, and the London Legal Support Trust. I am a consultant with the Legal Aid Practitioners Group management and leadership hub.

Recent reports and publications to which I have contributed in this capacity include Conditions and Benefits in the London Social Welfare Advice Sector (May 2025); and Stepping off the Hamster Wheel: Retention, Wellbeing and Culture in the London Social Welfare Advice Sector (June 2025). I presented the headlines from this paper to the ‘Helping Hands’ conference in June 2025, and to the Chief Executives Forum of London Citizens Advice in December 2025.

Training & Group Sessions

I am an articulate speaker who is comfortable delivering talks and training. I am particularly committed to facilitating Action Learning, using group-coaching methodologies to support the skills development of the members of a group whilst unlocking real practical action.

Ethical Leadership & Practice

I am influenced by ‘Eco Leadership’ theory (an ethical systemic approach conceptualised by Dr Simon Western), as well as by other writers and thinkers on practical ethics.

I aim to ensure that a commitment to ethics is reflected in my own practice. In addition to adhering to the ICF code of ethics I work exclusively for charities, organisations and individuals with a social purpose or focused on the common good.

Additionally:

· I offer reduced rates for small charities and community groups and individuals of limited means.

· I am committed to offering up to two pro bono (free) coaching contracts to clients at any one time; and

· I donate a minimum of 10% of my annual profits to charity each year.
